Brussels is currently hosting the second annual Human Cities Festival which will run until the end of March. The human-centred event focuses on the ways in which people interact with their city and how architects, designers, city residents and creative thinkers are bettering their urban environments and managing ‘creative urban spaces’.
Visitors to the festival are encouraged to interact with Brussels through a series of workshops, urban walks, design installations, documentaries and art interventions. An exhibition will also be on hand with the results of the third call for entries to Places To Be – Upcycling : Urban Readymades which ‘stresses bottom-up initiatives set up by citizens, artists and associations that re-shape the forms and appropriation of public space’.
