Diller Scofidio tapped for Hudson Yards Tower in New York City

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) has been selected to design a new residential tower on New York City’s far west side at Hudson Yards near the High Line, another DS+ R project that is completing its third and final phase.

To be located on the northeast corner of Eleventh Avenue and 30th Street, the building will rise 800 feet and contain 700 units. The project’s developer, Related Companies, told the Journal it hoped the building will be completed by 2015, around the same time its new 51-storey office tower, designed by Kohn Pederson Fox (KPF) and anchored by Coach, will complete.
