German theme for MIPIM 2012

Annual property event MIPIM has announced that its 2012 exhibition will honour Germany’s success in the real estate market, with a number of German investment companies and financial institutions taking centre stage during the four day event. Held from 6th-9th March in Cannes, MIPIM 2012 will host a series of conferences with key figures in the German industry, including Bernhard Berg, Managing Director of IVG Institutional Funds GmbH, who will speak to Jean-Michel Six, Chief Economist for Europe at Standard & Poor’s about today’s best investment opportunities. German projects will be celebrated in a special category at the awards ceremony and the opening event at MIPIM will have a ‘decidedly German flavour’.

Speaking on this year’s theme country, Director of MIPIM, Filippo Rean said: “Buoyed by the strongest economy in the eurozone, Germany has been particularly resilient in the current economic climate. We would like to acknowledge this performance by paying tribute to the expertise and know-how of German professionals operating across the entire real estate sector. As loyal MIPIM attendees for many years now, German investors also participate actively in globalising the sector as some of the most dynamic players away from their home turf.”
