Next weekend the world will turn its gaze to the World Trade Center site as the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks that rocked New York City – and the world – approaches. Rebuilding efforts at the site have been surrounded by controversy as architects and plans were altered, whilst construction progress is closely monitored. In preparation for next weekend’s landmark date, WTC site masterplanner Daniel Libeskind and Dara McQuillan, spokesman from Silverstein Properties, spoke to the BBC about the finalised designs.
