Erick van Egeraat bounces back with new practise

Just two weeks after the announcement that Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects BV had filed for bankruptcy the Netherlands architect has re-commenced work in his new practise, named Designed by Erick van Egeraat BV. Receiving financial assistance from un-named investors and reaching an agreement with the Court appointed administrator, Raymond de Bok, to carry on work on all projects, Egeraat will be able to continue work on the 50 ongoing projects following discussions with the concerned parties.

“The consequences of the current climate on the financial and real-estate markets demand critical reflection and thorough restructuring,” reads a statement from Erick van Egeraat’s office to which he adds:"This is something I am very aware of and have been working towards for the past year. On the other hand I can say that I am very happy to have received so many positive and supportive reactions. It is truly comforting to see such a wide variety of clients; partners and colleagues offer their assistance. This has definitely helped to strengthen my confidence in a good outcome of this process."

A spokesperson was unable to advise who the investors were and could not confirm if staff from the previous office would be working with Egeraat under the new company name.
