New images of Bear Stearns HQ - Canary Wharf’s eastern gateway
HOK International has released the latest images of its design for the
new European headquarters of investment bank, Bear Stearns in Canary
Wharf.
Canary Wharf Contractors Limited has already started work on-site for
the 28 000m², 12-storey building located at 5 Churchill Place. The building is located on the eastern perimeter of Canary Wharf, forming the eastern
gateway to the urban quarter.
HOK is the lead consultant and providing masterplanning and landscape
services for the adjacent dockside public park along with architecture
and interior design for the building.
The northern elevation of the building has a generous amount of glass
facade maximising the amount of natural daylight, with minimal solar
gain. Stainless steel edges catch light and sun reflections in this
Northern Europe location. The scheme will be ready for occupation in summer 2009
