Gareth Hoskins Architects' new Art Centre in Glasgow bridges the gap
The Bridge arts centre located in Easterhouse, Glasgow is situated between John Wheatley College and the local swimming pool, bridging the two buildings together. There are 3 entrances to the building encouraging local people, to come in and take part in the arts. The new centre provides offices for the National Theatre of Scotland along with a multi-functional auditorium, dance studio, recording & practice suites, audio visual and media suites, education and gallery spaces, café and local community library. The Bridge was a finalist at the “RIAS, Andrew Doolan, Best Building in Scotland Award 2006”.
