A competition for Royal Jet’s new 7-star business airport in Abu Dhabi is attracting high profile interest from major players including WS Atkins, Pascall + Watson and Reid. Scope of the project includes terminal, hangers and offices. Reid’s proposal (pictured) is conceived as, “An oasis of shade, calm and rest. A leaf shaped canopy covers the whole route from drop off to embarkation. It is supported on a row of columns that branch out like trees.” A decision is expected late 2005.
