LIMIT Architects' supermarket in Austria 

Rethinking the corporate identity concept of Merkur Supermarkets, LIMIT architects has produced a completely new design by using the logo and CI, the colors green and white, as visual focus that will communicate the brand's foremost goals, the freshness of the products. The components of the programmatic requirements are concentrated into a single rectangular box of 3,200 sq m. The interior is a marketplace that creates different spatial densities and fluid circulation spaces for the various retail environments, along with a peripheral work zone for the staff. The facade and the building’s main entrance consist of a light metal cladding with glazing, acting as a beacon for the future development of the area into Vienna's commercial district. The project has received a number of prizes, fifteen further outlets featuring the new design have been built in Austria.
