I have a house on Phuket designed by this architect. Go to tropecohouse.com
22/11/09 Richard Benzaquen, Placitas,NM
I like the orientation of the house and the openness of the interior.
I would like to have seen more of the concepts of the house and details in the construction process. The site is beautiful and reminds me of my home in the mountains of New Mexico;without the water.
Architect is sensitive to the environment.
Thanks for letting me comment,

Richard Benzaquen

Samsara has become an icon in residential architecture on the Island of Phuket in Thailand. The stunning sea views and the desire to create open and bright contemporary homes, which maintain a cultural affinity with their location, have combined to produce these villas of unparalleled distinction. The entrance is a processional experience which dramatically uses the view to shape the transition from the road to the private entertainment level below. Interconnecting cathedral roofed living and dining spaces open fully onto semi-covered terraces and the main pool deck creating an extensive combination of interlinked space. The terraced level below is dedicated to bedrooms and the more private family functions, all of which take advantage of the garden areas and the unobstructed views beyond.
