Liverpool based property developer and investor, Beetham Organization, have submitted a planning application to London’s Southwark Council for a 68 floor tower. The 226.5m high building will provide 310,000 sq ft (28,800 sq m) of residential space and a 440,000 sq ft (40,892 sq m) hotel. Designed by Ian Simpson Architects, the building will be located at the junction of Blackfriars Bridge and Blackfriars Road. The building features a slender curved glass tower and when completed will be amongst London’s most recognisable landmark buildings.
