The house is an L-shape, which embraces a yard in the middle. This composition of built volumes and semi-private outdoor area turns its back on the road. The two legs of the L-shape are designed to be separate entities, with a close interaction between the two. Where they meet, one seems to penetrate the other. The floor at the entrance level contains the public space as a multifunctional area, with large openings towards the yard. It has a larger footprint than the enclosed lower level of the house, due to cantilevers, which are expressed more prominently by contrast of materials. The materials palette is limited to exposed concrete, timber and white finish. The main enclosing elements are also exaggerated, with walls protruding from intersections and roof slabs floating above them, at the same time creating openings to let more light in.
