The site is on a cliff that overlooks the town of Paphos, all the way to the sea. This gave the proposed house a very strong southern orientation. The main living spaces are wrapped in a folding framework, creating a monolithic volume. A basement houses all utilities and secondary spaces. The basement is set in, and part of the volume above it cantilevers out. This makes the main building volume appear to be floating above the cliff, rather than touching it. A public veranda and a swimming pool are on the basement level, and become a viewing platform, looking out to the horizon. The floating volume is painted white, with the southern fascade being completely glazed, opening up to the panoramic view.
