Giant movie complex planned for New Jersey
In the face of declining box office figures, Baltimore architects DDG have conceived an ambitious cinema complex in the New Jersey Xanadu Mall for client Muvico in an attempt to reverse the trend towards home cinema. The complex will feature five star service, 6,500 seats, views across the Manhattan Skyline, a 350 seat cocktail bar and a full service “white table cloth” restaurant. Muvico already has a dozen giant cinemas and has been expressing interest in Battersea Power Station as a possible venue.
