Major exhibition highlights the advances of public spaces in built environments is to hit New York

New York based Van Alen Institute are set to host a major exhibition in September exploring the reinvention of urban public spaces to meet the demands of 21st-century recreation and leisure. ‘The Good Life: New Public Spaces for Recreation’, will showcase how the most promising paradigms of 21st-century leisure, recreation, fun, education, and relaxation are being designed in the everyday physical realm of the built environment. The exhibition which is set to travel near and far will present 70 new projects around the world by an esteemed array of both well-known and emerging international designers and artists displaying major built structures, smaller interventions and public art pieces There will be a diverse array of designs, explored in five main themes. Fun City, Healthy City, 24-Hour City, Connected City and Cultured City.
