Ten years after the IRA bombings, Manchester’s regeneration reaches new heights.
The dramatic £155m 47-storey Beetham Tower, designed by Ian Simpson architects –was recently officially
‘topped out’, marking the completion of work on the building’s
structure.
The 171m landmark building (making it the U.K’s tallest residential tower) is part of Manchester’s continuing regeneration.
The Tower combines 219 residential apartments, 70,000 sq ft of
quality office space and a 230,000sq ft Hilton hotel.
It features a striking, slender glass tower –with a glass ‘blade’
increasing the height of the building..
The 219 apartments and penthouses from floors 25 upwards were
sold in less than 12 months, with prices ranging from £100,000 rising to £2.5m for the
top floor penthouse.
The development includes a ‘sky bar’ on the 23rd floor, conference facilities,
a ballroom, a health centre, shops and restaurants
