Options: Base Camp Everest, UNDP World Waters Embassy HQ and a Thames Gateway Opera House

The inspiration for 'Line of Site' came when an architect was seen sketching out some ideas for a new building on a napkin. It is this essence of creative spontaneity and simplicity that line of state is trying to capture. The competition is based on sketching - not fully developed designs, and consists of three original briefs. Open to all, the competition offers the opportunity to stretch your creative mind to the full. The buildings won’t be built - the aim is to see what you think is possible. The reward will be set by sponsoring organisations that are recognised as design leaders and true innovators - and they have put together prize packages. Four winning entries from each of the three briefs will go on to the grand final event in October.
