RMJM wins international competition in Nanjing

A new research and development park for Huawei Technologies in Nanjing, China will be designed by international architectural and engineering firm RMJM's Hong Kong office. The masterplan of this site includes offices, laboratories, a data centre and civic plaza. RMJM designed a simple orthoganal plan of allocating buildings, which gives various space both outside and inside. These buildings will have environmental technologies including an extensive green roof, high performance facade, and integrated water system. RMJM's passive environmental design approach enables maximum energy efficiency at no additional capital expense, and also advocates the significance of sustainability as an architectural proposal in this fast developing area.
