New York's Morgan Library & Museum reopens after three years of redevelopment

Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Renzo Piano, the renovation includes a new space which will almost double the exhibition space for its world-renowned collections. In addition to expanded exhibition space, areas of the house have been conserved and the building’s exterior has been returned to its original 1906 condition. The project also includes a dramatic new entrance, a central four-story court, a new performance hall, a naturally lit reading room, a larger shop and two new dining facilities, one of which is located in the former Morgan family dining room. The glass-enclosed central court connects the buildings and seamlessly joins the old and new, providing many views both in and out of the campus and the pavilions are constructed of faceted steel panels and glass.
