MulvannyG2 Architecture was asked to design a technology park for the City of Shanghai that would help establish the city as a leader in world technology. To achieve that goal, the park should be designed to attract top-notch technology and research institutions from around the world. Our challenge was to design a technology research and development park that would reflect the culture, environment, and amenities of five international communities: Seattle, Florence, Munich, New York’s Central Park, and Shanghai itself while maintaining a clear focus on supporting a high tech environment.
