REID secures planning for strategic riverside project

REID architecture’s Three Quays project has been given planning approval. The mixed use/ residential scheme includes 141 luxury apartments with retail and public space at ground level. It sits on the north bank of the Thames, enjoying unrivalled views of the river and Tower Bridge. The prime requirement of the brief was to maximise benefit of the views. The number of apartments with a river view has been optimised by incorporating a scissor duplex apartment. This allows all the living rooms to have a view to the south and bedrooms face the north. There will be a thin film of overflowing water onto stainless steel, immediately above the glazed façade of the ground floor, four ‘columns’ then take the water down into pools on the ground.
