n-ARCHITECTS unveils sleek design for 5 million capacity Niger International Airport 

Bankok-based n-ARCHITECTS have shared their latest project with WAN: Niger International Airport. The concept design conveys a 120,000 sq m airport with capacity for 5 million passengers per annum. The design features 16 contact stands and 6 remote stands, and is located in the capital of Niger, Niamey.

The design team took inspiration from the shape of an aircraft propeller, creating a sleek complex with double-sided piers for the aircraft. n-ARCHITECTS explains: “This conceptual theme was developed into the modern form of the airport terminal, defining the identity of the project.

“The smooth and simple, yet modern design of the space extends to its use and functions. The modern propeller shaped international airport of the Republic of Niger is the piece of architecture to remain in the memory of visitors forever.”

The light-rich terminal complex has a grand ceiling height of 35m and includes an indoor park for the enjoyment of all domestic and international travelers. This area has been designed to ensure maximum comfort for passengers, reducing tension and creating a welcoming ambience.
