Loft-style apartments, retail outlets and 214-suite hotel destined for Downtown Markham 

The newest addition to Downtown Markham, Signature Condominiums marks the momentum that is building within the 243-acre mixed-use urban-style community. Designed by Quadrangle Architects, the two-building project will be a key node, enriching cultural and community life with a 214-suite Marriott Hotel, upscale condominium residences, loft-style residences, as well as shops, restaurants with outdoor terraces, commercial office space and above-ground parking.

Signature is the newest chapter in Downtown Markham’s evolution. The project will animate the site by extending the surrounding roadways and pedestrian-friendly blocks. Mid-block connections such as an interior courtyard and green roof with patios will open the buildings to their surroundings at several levels. Deep setbacks facing the street will provide terraces for a more pleasant street-level experience.

Each component of the program will be clearly articulated with different materials, unified by a clear, contemporary architectural language, so that Signature will honestly express of its multi-facets, and it will establish a spirited and contemporary aesthetic for the development overall. Its LEED silver targeted green technologies and features, including landscaped rooftops, will not only create a healthy, long-lasting building, but also the thoughtfulness and care of the project design.
