Swanke Hayden Connell Architects (SHCA) win commission from German developer Hammer to design Novokossino retail centre
The new 96,000 sq metre centre is a family oriented destination featuring stores, restaurant and entertainment facilities.
The scheme is arranged to maximize income-generating areas within a dynamic and vibrant interior space and has generous circulation to ensure a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience
There are multiple points of vertical circulation and connectivity between floors which stimulate people movement and contribute to the commercial success of the retail units.
Darren Gorodkin, head of Swanke’s Moscow office and retail design team, said: “The project is an important retail commission for SHCA. We are delighted to be working with Hammer and Rovner Investment Group and it gives us a good opportunity to further develop our exposure to the retail sector in Russia.”
Swanke’s Moscow office is currently involved in a number of retail projects in Russia and Turkey. In Moscow it is currently designing the 440,000 sq metre multi-functional Project Slava complex on Leningradsky Prospect, a major artery linking Red Square to the city outskirts, which includes 60,000 sq metres of retail within a major complex of office towers.
Gorodkin and fellow architect Dmitry Voscoboinikov have previously designed the Dream House retail scheme in Moscow that was aimed at consumers and retailers in the high-end furniture and household goods retailing business.
