WAN's Sydney Correspondents Vin and Priyanka Rathod give their top tips for this year's Sydney Architecture Festival

Sydney Architecture Festival launched today and for the next 10 days the city has some exciting events for architects, designers and the general public. There is plenty to do and see for everyone. Below are our top 5 picks:

1. Drawing in Darch - On Wednesday 6 Nov 2013, young architects from Sydney and Newcastle will get together for an interactive drawing event in Temperance Lane. The theme is to draw ideas for invigorating some of Sydney's forgotten spaces such as laneways. If you are not in the mood for drawing, you can still enjoy watching the canvas become populated with ideas

2. Absolutely Relative - A performance in the very unique architectural space of Paddington Reservoir Gardens is based on the collective struggle of individuals. The audience are part of the set, interacting with the characters, the script and the performance space. Held on Saturday 9 November 2013, it will definitely be an interesting show to watch

3. David Moore Photography Retrospective - Sydney Opera House is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and in recognition of this, renowned photographer David Moore's extraordinary archive of construction and development of this eminent building from 1962 - 1979 will be on display. The photographs are on display at Customs House until mid-November

4. Open Agenda - This is an annual competition to support the best of an emerging generation of experimental architecture and speculative design research in Australia. This year's exhibiting designers include Samaneh Moafi for a Holey Territory, David Neustein for his installation of Refreshment Service and Lucy Warnock for Architectural Espionage and the Super-panopticon

5. Rural Habitat - Developed by Mobile Workshop Architects and the NGO Vasco de Quiroga PS XX1, Rural Habitat is an exhibition of photographs, multimedia materials and models of Mexican and rural indigenous communities within a purpose built pavilion at Customs House Square. It is an international expression of the City's own vision for a green, global and connected Sydney. The exhibition is on until 17 November 2013
