3DReid's oppulent residential properties to begin construction in Desa Melawati
Images of 3DReid’s first project in Malaysia to start on site have been released. The Véo Melawati luxury towers complex is situated 15 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in Desa Melawati and will provide 350 luxury living spaces with fantastic views of the iconic Petronas Towers and over the rest of the city.
The two 30-storey towers are situated close to the Melawati natural reserve, and this has inspired the architects to create various green spaces within the development and sky gardens in the communal area throughout the towers. As well as containing apartments ranging from 1-bedroom units to 3-bedroom penthouse duplexes, the tower blocks will also have a range of communal therapy and fitness facilities at ground level.
Developed by Sime Darby Property, part-owners of Battersea Power Station in London and Malaysia’s largest developers, the design and early BIM stage work has been carried out in collaboration with 3DReid’s London office. Covering a total area of 4,175 acres, the main building construction is due to begin in April of this year.
The project has been publicised by celebrities such as interior designer Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen and Jamie Durie, the Australian horticulturalist, with latter advising on the landscape design of the ground and the sky garden areas. As well as this, the project was also the subject of the television programme ‘The Apartment: Style Edition’: Asia’s first interior design reality show, with the prize for the winning design team being a luxury apartment within the Véo.
3DReid are currently working on various other projects in Malaysia since opening their office in Kuala Lumpur in 2010, including the Danga Bay mixed-use scheme situated on the causeway between Malaysia and Singapore and the PJ Sentral and Tower 5 project.
