Industrial and commercial facility on Perth Airport land with illuminated cantilever
This is a light industrial centre developed by the Westralia Airports Corporation. The project incorporates a main processing building with 1,300 sq m integrated two-storey offices and a range of additional support buildings on a 18.5 hectare site on Perth Airport land.
DnA Architects provided design and documentation services within a tight time frame and budget to the satisfaction of the client and tenants. Tenders returned on budget with innovative architecture.
One of the design features is a dramatic 10m by 15m cantilevered and translucent backlit structure called the ‘lantern’, which is a focal point to the site corner. The project can be seen as an exemplar of how DnA Architects strive to deliver innovative design outcomes in all project types.
