Concept design completed for multi-functional entertainment centre in Thailand
The concept design for a multi-functional Fulldome Experience Hall to be built in Bangkok,Thailand, has recently been completed by FORMA architects.
The Fulldome will occupy an area of 3,500 sq m and will house 300 seats for visitors, who will then enter a dynamic interactive space incorporating scientific with educational functions. It will include installations, exhibitions and game zones as well as a cafeteria, a gift shop and a conference room for the visitors’ comfort, and to increase the versatility of the building.
It will occupy the minimum building area and will release additional space for public zones which will contribute to the emergence of new activities and experiences in the open air. Concerts, street plays, public speeches and lectures work to ensure that the Fulldome Experience Centre will become the heart of the city's cultural life.
FORMA are a modern architecture and urban planning design studio, established by Volodymyr and Oleksiy Petrov in Ukraine's Kyiv in 2008. Given that tourism contributes about 5% to Thailand's GDP, The Fulldome will be a lucrative economic contribution to the city's melting-pot of modern and ancient Thai architecture, existing alongside the looming sky scrapers, with European-style parks, neon-lits and traditional Thai temples.
