Powerful PDF creation, markup, editing and collaboration for a paperless workflow.

Bluebeam® Revu® combines an intuitive PDF editor, viewer and annotation tool with reliable file creation technology, taking paperless workflows to a whole new level. Revu helps architects and their project teams communicate faster and more efficiently throughout the design, bid and build process by enabling them to communicate digitally in PDF using annotation tools that mimic the way one would normally work with pen and paper.

By digitising these workflows, Revu helps ensure that an architect s vision for a project is realised. Revu is both powerful and intuitive, enabling any project team to transition to a paperless workflow with a minimal learning curve. Its straight-forward simulation of traditional workflows, such as digital redlining using easy-to-use, industry-standard, customisable annotations on a desktop or tablet PC; comparing documents with Overlay Pages, which mimics using a light table to show drawing differences; and taking dimensions electronically using built-in measurement tools for quantity takeoffs, help make this software a favourite even among those who have long been used to the paper-based practices.

In addition to these features, Revu also includes a few innovations that have helped revolutionise the architectural workflow. This technology includes:  Tool Chest, which saves commonly used annotations for repeated use  Markups list, which automatically tracks the author, date, time, and other customised data of any annotation placed upon the PDF and then allows that data to be exported to Excel  Tablet PC compatibility, which optimises Revu with the Windows tablet OS  Bluebeam Studio sessions for real-time.

PDF-based online collaboration New features released in 2012 that further help architects digitally communicate include: 3D PDF creation from Revit, Navisworks® Manage and Navisworks simulate and the ability to markup 3D views Bluebeam Studio projects for storing and sharing up to 5GB of project PDFs and other files in the cloud for free  Links for managing hyperlinks in PDFs Spaces for automatically assigning locations to markups.

Moreover, Revu has been proven to deliver real results. Example case study data includes an 85% reduction in paper usage and associated costs, the ability to perform quantity take offs 70% faster than with pen and paper and a 60% increase in productivity. More real results can be found on Bluebeam's case study Web page.
