A layered design compliments The Biomedical Research Centre at Navarra's Hospital,

The building proposes an image inherent in its intrinsic functionality and this is manifested by an envelope that covers their characteristic forms. Therefore, we can say that the outer skin "layers" its internal structures.

Plants are extreme and encompass parts of the programme with more functional disparity. The camel, the polar bear and the leaf are fundamental to the function of the building as the project aims to link with the content of the programme.

Bio-Medical Research, through the implementation of the Biomimicry (adaptation of biological systems and human procedures) compliments the process of generational architecture. The firm took these three bio-reference types to achieve similar adaptive systems: The camel as a paradigm for the functional section, the polar bear skin as an example of multifunctional and the leaf as integration between structural resolution and flexibility.
