Claridge Architects presents Trinity Quays
Claridge Architects have defined the tower as a slender form facing the mouth of the River Hull, they intend for the building to operate as a new figure on the city's horizon and from the vast watery landscape of the Humber Estuary and River Hull. the building appears as an elegant vertical volume, the crown of the harbour.
The facades strive for a level of calm and simplicity allowing the crown bar to appear as the nodal and key point of the building giving it a recognisable crown which acts as a new focus for the city and also focus for the hotel with a new panoramic bar.
The building is designed to work in both the vertical and horizontal plane, the new 200 bed hotel is set within the tower (vertical plane) which rises above the city to offer breath-taking views, the 1000 person conference centre is set within the horizontal plane, the lobby connection between the two is arranged to absorb you into its own scale, to give the ambience of a luxury hotel and world class conference centre.
Claridge Architects was established in June 2004 and is currently a 17 strong London based
Architectural practice, they work under the philosophy of modern minimalism, and they keep projects architecturally paired down with a focus on geometric forms.
