NADAAA invents new means and methods of fabrication, and transforms the building industry
NADAAA is an architecture firm dedicated to the cultivation of new methods of fabrication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a productive dialogue with the construction industry. An investigation of the potential of materials and construction techniques is the foundation of all their designs, and a focus on detailing and emergent technology drives a process that encourages architectural advancement.
Led by principal designer Nader Tehrani, NADAAA's staff of twenty-five designers brings a wide array of expertise - engineering, construction, business, industrial design, academia, and graphic design. NADAAA's portfolio of projects is global, requiring optimized delivery and collaboration. With projects in the US, South Korea, China, Australia, Canada, Kuwait and France, design runs on a near 24-hour clock, with integrated teams and consultants in multiple time zones.
Technical expertise with production technologies enables the practice to operate on many fronts. The firm successfully develops projects using state of the art digital fabrication processes and locally available manufacturing crafts.
NADAAA is currently completing construction of a new Model Home Gallery in Seoul, an iconic building that brings state-of-the-art construction processes together with local Korean crafts. At the same time, ground breaking is imminent for an ambitious project in southern France using innovative concrete construction technologies. In collaboration with John Wardle Architects, the University of Melbourne's School of Architecture project has just commenced construction documentation in preparation for ground breaking in 2013. With six new projects in development, the office is focused on expanding on a larger scale of both fabrication and engagement with the urban realm.
