Atelier Thomas Pucher's design grasps the spirit of the site

Atelier Thomas Pucher's designs arise from meticulous research, grasping the spirit of the site from an attentive analysis of the context and its history. Equally, the specific character of the programme and of its future users, the ecology and sustainability of the built or even the structural elements that supports the building are some of the fundamental themes that contributes to generate the project.

Through a holistic understanding of the needs of the surroundings and of the building, both present and latent, they believe that their projects can create an honest dialog with its vicinity and seamlessly integrate itself in the context and in simultaneous, strengthen the spirit of the place.

At Atelier Thomas Pucher, they acknowledge the major role of architecture in the life of the people and therefore they undertake the responsibility and the commitment of a design of excellence in every scale of architecture. From the masterplan to the constructive detail, they are always guided by the main concept and the concerns that characterise each specific project. The same attention and accuracy in design is applied to every stage of the construction, in order to achieve a coherent result between the project and the final building.

Diversity has been always a key element in their work, applicable both in programme and in scale. Reinventing their design methods, concepts and views is basal in their approach, aiming always for the best answer for each project, with its unique programme, situation and people.

Since the foundation of Atelier Thomas Pucher in 2005, they have won over 30 competitions across the world, such as the Headquarters for the Organisation of the Islamic Conference in Saudi Arabia (2008), the new seat for the Sinfonia Varsovia, in Poland (2010) and the Tallinn Music and Ballet School in Estonia (2011) just to name a few. Allied to that, they are also involved in architectural and urban planning projects in Denmark, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Armenia, China, Taiwan, South Korea, among others.
