The new West Mendip Community Hospital has been procured under the UK Government’s Private Finance Initiative (PFI) with healthcare developer Ryhurst Ltd. It comprises 9 separate clinical and non-clinical departments.
Devereux Architects have provided full medical planning; architecture and interior design for this purpose build 36-bed community facility.
The building is designed as a series of small linked blocks to reflect the rural style of its location nesting at the foot of Glastonbury tor in Somerset.
Materials, finishes and colours - carefully selected providing a human scale environment that is pleasant to work in plus comfortable and healthy for patients and visitors.
