WAN talks to the Czech designer about his exhibition at the University of Brighton
Jiri Pelcl's furniture, products and architectural design have been widely recognised since he first attracted attention as founder of the radical Atika design group in 1987. Since then, the Czech designer's long and varied career has taken in more than 20 solo and 110 group exhibitions around the world. In addition, he has authored a number of books on design and been a rector of Prague's Academy of Art, Architecture and Design.
In a UK premier for his work his new exhibition, The Incredible Lightness of Being, comes to the University of Brighton. Jiri talks exclusively to WAN about the exhibition and his work.
