Enlightening video taken inside Hopkins' Velodrome made available to WAN readers
There was an undeniable murmur of displeasure when Michael Hopkins’ sinuous Velodrome at the London Olympic site was pipped at the post for this year’s Stirling Prize. A strong bookies favourite the Velodrome was instead the recipient of the People’s Choice Award, winning 63% of the votes with its stunning cedar-wood curves and feminine silhouette.
Press entry to the site has been rigorously controlled during the entire construction process and only a handful of lucky publications have been allowed to film within the Olympic Park. One such company is crane.tv who have generously shared their footage with WAN readers.
