On an island of 1300 hectares of size a new district with an inner-city image for about 50.000 inhabitants should be developed for the city of Whenzhou in China. The task was to create a masterplan for different uses, like a business district, living areas with high density and open space, parks, recreation and amusement centre and an area for the university to the point to agricultural landscape.
An important aim was, to ensure an ecological and long-term living quality for high living standard and to reach an intensive conjunction with the landscape qualities of the island and its central position in the city of Whenzhou.
