Proposal to restructure the space currently taken up by railway installations in the city of Granada, including the construction of a new terminal station.
The plan is to link traffic movement of cars (east and west) where it is blocked-up at present. Creating axes and passages for pedestrians linking the two site regions (north and south) Creating underground railway system; covered by a glass cellar above which reside water fountains, ending with a huge super fountain in the center of the site; consequently providing a point of attraction that allows the opportunity for the exploration of the region and its surrounding; for example: picnics and public entertainments. Walking on the fountain through one of the bridges where the waters fling from above forming water-rainbows while the glass cellar on both sides makes for a mix effects of light transparency and cascading waters. Therefore providing a focal point of interconnectedness of the site and its surrounding nature.
Wrapping the glass walls took place by the provision of oriel windows; with Islamic decorations so that it gives the effects and an impression reflecting the building’s connectivity to the civilization of the city.
