Now in its third year, the WAN AWARDS has evolved into the world's largest architectural awards programme

We believe there are five key reasons for the programme’s success. First and paramount is the quality of and commitment made by the WAN judges. Over the past two and a half years, our extensive panel of top international experts have committed not only their valuable time but their wealth of experience, objectivity and above all, their passion for good design.

The second contributory reason for the programme’s success is the vast reach of the WAN readership, now over 200,000 from across the world. It is this reach that enables us to deliver fresh architecture to the jury table, architecture that inspires both the judges and the participants.

We believe the third reason for the huge participation in the WAN AWARDS is that architects respect our approach, our radical shake up of the traditional architectural awards programme. We broke the mould by spreading the programme over the year, in two month cycles, ensuring something is happening throughout the year. More importantly, the key benefit of this approach is that we have been able to focus, enabling us to group highly specialised panels representing all of the stakeholders in a project; architects, clients, developers, government representatives, engineers and specialist consultants to get a rounded opinion on each submitted project. The attention that your projects deserve.

The WAN AWARDS are also highly regarded for being objective. Winners have ranged from a one man practice in South Africa to Foster’s Beijing Airport. No-one is excluded from this range.

Finally, it’s about the publicity, winning a WAN AWARD against stiff competition from around the world, judged by some of the world’s best known names, is not to be underestimated. We make sure the news appears on computer screens and mobiles around the world in minutes, but the benefits for your practice last for years.
