Evolutionary brand of new washroom products to complement designer focus on innovative modern surfacing materials
Hygiene, appearance and durability have dictated stainless steel as the default choice for washroom products for decades. FrostVision, introduced in 2010, is a natural evolution of FC Frost's traditional architectural products to solve the problem of design concepts being limited by historical material constraints.
It offers flexibility of choice from a divergent range of modern surface materials already integrated in innovative interior design, creating a means for designers to customise the appearance and form of washroom products to meet their overriding design concept.
Finishes in toughened glass, infinitely malleable Corian®, acrylic or wood provide the freedom, for the first time, to select almost any material, colour, shape, relief or even encapsulated image within washroom equipment.
Co-operating with Hok Architects for the Flame Towers development, Baku, Azerbajan, FrostVision has been used to create customised, combination hand drying equipment. These units are exactly matched to the surrounding wall surfaces, permitting panelling to seamlessly flow over the washroom services. The products create a truly integrated, tailored scheme completely within the wall.
Using materials from sustainable sources, with high recycling potential or high recycled content, FrostVision contributes to BREEAM, LEED, Estidama and other environmental benchmarks. Glass and steel are 100% recyclable and the wood is from FSC sustainably sourced veneers. Corian® is a mineral-based material capable of seamless jointing and invisible repair in situ, giving a product life to match that of the building.
Combining modern materials that have already been integrated and proven elsewhere within the building interior with existing and understood washroom technology minimises risk and instils confidence in designers.
The special quality of FrostVision is its unique flexibility of material and form to complement and promote overall design concepts.
