Modern version of Danish folk high school for international environment

Performers' House is a modern version of a Danish folk high school. With its exceptional scope and a unique cross cultural international environment, the school offers the best opportunities to develop young creative talent. Spacious performance areas, teaching rooms, a canteen, student café, student accommodation and housing for teaching staff create optimal learning conditions for the performance art students.

The façade is versatile: shutters on the main stages fold up and can be slid to one side and the large glass sections opens out to the town - making it possible for passers-by to hear the music or catch a glimpse of the theatrical performances.

The architectural appearance is simplistic and characterised by a sincere choice of materials. This is expressed by the visibility of the building’s installations; cable bearers and ventilation are not hidden, but out in the open. The interior is functional and the visual contact of the building distinct – with long horizontal views, as well as with a vertical view between floors.
