This Criminal Courts Comples is 24,500 m2 and 10 storeys above basement on a site of 1 hectare. It comprises of 22 courtrooms, jury, judicial, bar council, custodial and office accommodation, public reception, waiting and circulation areas, cafeteria , basement and external car park, service yard and a new entrance plaza.
Full architectural services including interior design from inception through to completion. The main reception on the ground floor is a generous entrance with a both a private and open waiting areas. Functionality and privacy was a large part of the brief, with BIAM requesting a number of meeting rooms at Ground Floor level. A bridge across the central Atrium brings the client right into the heart of the building and through into the lift lobbies.
Glass fronted partitions to all meeting rooms and private office which creates a sense of openness and space. The central Atrium is flooded with light and all the open offices have light from various directions.
