New facility is Seoul specialises in anti-aging treatment & research

This 200,000 sq ft Anti-Aging Life Center is located within an existing 700,000 sq ft mixed-use building and designed as a futuristic vision of technology in harmony with nature. Rather than the confined spaces of a doctor’s office or hospital, the Chaum Wellness Center radiates an open, flowing design concept that complements its forward-thinking approach. Its multi-floor layout includes welcoming concierge desks evocative of hip international hotels, distinctively designed therapy settings and expansive lounges instead of cramped waiting rooms.

Initial exams are performed in a single, translucent room, or 'pod' wherein all portable medical equipment and staff come to the patient, providing an efficient, private and comfortable experience and introduction to the Center. Above the diagnostic and therapy services an existing three-storey health club was refreshed and incorporated according to the therapeutic essence of the Chaum Center. A five-star restaurant and tea room offers members a gathering place for social interaction, as well as epicurean and nutritional education.

With high ceilings and an emphasis on openness, the Chaum Center is organised on several levels, around an existing central atrium with escalators for vertical circulation. The design is balanced by an appealing mix of interior materials, eclectic art and furnishings and an abundance of light. The Chaum Anti-Aging Life Center is the world’s one and only health centre dedicated to the research of time and anti-aging. A primary long-term interest is the development of data and findings to learn if the Anti-Aging Center has a positive effect on member health status and longevity.
