MIPIM opening gala, held tonight in Cannes, sponsored by Zorlu Center

Zorlu Center, developed by Zorlu Property, is lead sponsor of tonight’s opening gala at the world’s leading real estate fair MIPIM in Cannes, France. On the first night of the annual event, Zorlu Center will welcome approximately 6,000 guests to an exclusive event where the concepts of Old and Modern Istanbul will be considered through the values of both, with a Spice Bazaar, Turkish music, and Turkish-origin food and drink. This will be supported by stage performances by Burhan Öcal, All Stars Group, Can Hatipoğlu and ‘Dervish In Progress’ by renowned choreograph-dancer Ziya Aziza.

Designed as a joint venture by Tabanlıoğlu Architects and Emre Arolat Architects, Zorlu Center is a mixed use commercial facility centred on an open-air piazza in Istanbul, merging residences, a shopping mall, a hotel, a Performing Arts Center, and various offices in a single complex, crowned with a public green platform. Due to open in 2012, the towering new facility is taking pride of place at MIPIM’s opening gala.

Emre Zorlu, Member of the Board of Directors of Zorlu Property will make speech at the panel of ‘Investment Lab Turkey: Too good to be true?’ at a conference that will be organised under MIPIM 2011 to professionals of the real estate sector worldwide. Zorlu Property will use the opportunity to promote two key projects in its portfolio – Zorlu Center (displayed in visuals to the left) and Zorlu Levent – both WAN AWARDS entries. These ambitious ventures will be presented at the 63 sq m Zorlu Property stand at MIPIM, after the Zorlu Center was awarded first place in the ‘MIPIM Architectural Review Future Project Awards 2011’, Regeneration and Masterplanning category.
