Kensington

The Roman Catholic London Oratory was built between 1880 and 1884 and remains the second largest Catholic church in London. Russell Taylor was instructed to design a new reredos and baldacchino for the St Joseph's Chapel. Constructed in marble, limestone and scagliola the new reredos and six column baldacchino are notable for the speed with which they were completed- the project took just nine months from application for approval to final completion.
