Braun's Brush Tile brings a new depth to building resources...
Born from a knowledge of brush manufacturing, the Brush Tile has its underpinnings from generations of the Braun Brush Company, a business creating brushes for home and industrial use. The programming of the tiles is based upon using actual brush making equipment, repurposed and retooled to create its application as a tile. The Brush Tile could, in effect, be considered a melding of infinite brush fibres to emerge as a field of fibre.
The Brush Tile is versatile. It was designed to include a good number of qualities that make it a technology to consider for the 21st Century. Foremost, it was conceived with designers and architects in mind, recognising that modern interiors were in need of building resources that provide a sense of texture to the options for material choices. The team set out to create a building resource that can perform exceptionally in terms of its colour and texture for visual and tactile appeal, installation and maintenance, fire codes, ecological qualities, sound absorption, and client enjoyment. Designed originally for high-end contemporary corporate spaces, the team have engineered it to effectively work within recreational, theatre, and restaurant settings with superior sound absorption.
In regards to colour appeal, it is Brush Tile's sense of depth that draws people to it. Ultimately, what makes the tile significant is that it maintains a balance between hard and soft materials, allowing a product with texture to define a building
