BITERS is a hybrid solar roofing system that could generate both thermal and electric energy simultaneously, without affecting the aesthetics of the architecture.
Visually, it is just looks like a regular slope slate roof. Technically, it generates both solar thermal and electricity at the same time. It allows the solar cell to maintain the efficiencies at hot climate especially when temperature climbs above 80 deg. F. Simultaneously it cools off the building, reducing the HVAC energy requirement.
The product optimizes roofing space to capture the solar energy, with the susequent combined energy conversion efficiency ratio being in the range of 45-60% subject to location. The agility of the product allows large varieties in slope roof design as well as façades.
