McAdam Architects' T - House outside Moscow complete and ready for occupation.
The T – House is located at the edge of a new sub-urban development, 20 km from Moscow.
The house is made up of four interlocking rectangular boxes, carefully postioned between a group of trees on a rectangular greenfield site.
Each of these volumes is determined by function and use, and so is unique in size and character - the main reception spaces are housed in a 2-storey, square limestone box, whilst the swimming pool stretches across the garden as a low glazed and timber volume.
The facades are generally clad with a combination of white limestone and red cedar panels, with random sequences of large rectangular glazing and occasional stained-glass elements.
Access to the house is via a sweeping drive, which encircles a central garden with decorative ponds and a series of Japanese-style terraces.
