Extraordinary space wrapped in sustainable materials like pre-patinated copper & red cedar that weather with grace

Architect Daniel Libeskind suggested, “Tradition is a veiling of fiery origins.” This work examines those origins and infuses them with modern sensibilities, functional design, and smart technology. Part of a new movement in Boston to revitalize aging housing stock in non-traditional architectural form - this work shows a straightforward, honest approach towards materials such as copper and red cedar - something in common with traditional architecture - yet sheathed over exciting new forms with expansive floor plans and abundant natural light. Green: Copper has the longest history of recycling of any material known to civilization. About 80% of all the copper ever used remains in use today. Bamboo is used on floors, trim and cabinets throughout. The roof deck is covered with grass (sod) tiles.
