New office tower features distinctive lobby and emphasis on sustainability

Designed to attract tenants with a combination of efficient floor plates, the latest technology, and a distinctive design, 111 South Wacker is the newest office tower to be completed in Chicago’s West Loop. The 53-story, 1,457,000-square-foot building’s main attraction is a cylindrical lobby enclosed with a 44-foot-high water-white, non-reflective glass wall supported by one-inch-diameter vertical cables. Inside, the building’s parking ramp encircles a textured, marble-clad center core and creates a dynamic ceiling for the lobby. The building is designed to be the first high-rise certified at the gold level under the LEED Green Building Rating System® for core and shell construction.
